Yes, Yes, Yes, you read that right! Eye Care Center is moving to College Station, Texas. Whoop! So let’s go ahead and address why we are moving. We have outgrown the Bryan location, thanks to all of you for keeping us busy! We absolutely LOVE y’all. The College Station / Towerpoint location will be AMAZING. No more speed bumps J, much larger spaces including 7 eye exam rooms, (less wait time y’all),
and a much bigger lab (which allows more options for one hour eye glass service).
As many of you may know, we stopped seeing patients in Navasota back in 2014. This will make College Station a perfect middle ground for both our Navasota and Bryan patients. Our famous trademark will follow us too. That’s right, our clock tower will be a part of our new practice!
There will be some new and old faces to greet you and make your experience at the Eye Care Center fun and enjoyable. One of those new faces will be our new therapeutic optometrist / eye doctor. We are so excited to welcome Dr. Abby Zike, O.D., who will partner with Dr. Dobson with not only basic eye exams, but also in our specialties such as dry eye, glaucoma, and many other eye diseases. We have fallen in love with her welcoming and warm personality and she is going to be a wonderful addition to our new practice. We know you will love her as much as we do.
So let's talk more about the amazing, new Eye Care Center! To eliminate your wait time, we will have 7 beautiful eye exam rooms, which will make your time here at the Eye Care Center more efficient and an even greater experience. We will have a bigger optical laboratory, which means we will be able to custom make more eyeglass lenses in many cases same day. Our optical inventory will be much more vast and will allow us quicker service. This means that you can pick out your eye glass frame, go next door to Bahama Bucks and grab one of their famous snow cones, and come back in an hour and pick up your new eye glasses!
In addition, our eyeglass frame selection is expanding. This means a bigger selection to choose from, more brands, AND we will still have our same great prices! With our new Towerpoint Eye Care Center we wanted to be accommodating to your sweet kiddos, because of course we love doing our children’s eye exams. Dr. Dobson has designed a fun, kid friendly play area to keep your little ones entertained and not have to worry about them playing with the glasses / frames anymore. For our moms with babies, we apologize that we never had changing tables in the restroom. Well now we will, with an added bonus for your toddler…kid restraints!! The kids aren't the only ones we looked out for, we will have higher toilets now. This may seem silly but we do hear you all. The current Eye Care Center used to be a Montessori school, so naturally the bathrooms are designed for kids. The new bathrooms at Eye Care Center in Towerpoint will be much nicer and way more accommodating!
